Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic, who is also the Governor of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for BiH, held talks on Friday with the EBRD President, Jean Lemierre, in London, news agency FENA reports.
Ivanic expressed satisfaction that EBRD launched 43 projects amounting to the total of 505 million euros in BiH until February of 2006. He underlined the need for directing additional investments into the private sector, FENA says. Interlocutors ascertained that the realization of all EBRD projects in BiH is developing without difficulties, and announced the soon launch of the projects of building the freeway Banja Luka-Gradiska and the Sarajevo Bypass, which are worth 235 million euros.
Lemierre and Ivanic also talked about the forthcoming annual meeting of EBRD in May this year, at which the possibilities for investing in BiH will be presented. Lemierre also announced the visit of the EBRD delegation to BiH during the next week, was announced by the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FENA writes.
