| 07.09.200610:10 (GMT) | The efforts aimed at finding those responsible for the death of Russian embassy employees in Iraq have brought about certain results, Russian presidential representative for international cooperation in countering terrorism and transnational organized crime, Anatoly Safonov said at a press conference at the Interfax main office yesterday.
"There is good progress, including with the participation of many of our international partners, and this work is proceeding productively," Safonov said according to Interfax. He told that at investigation of acts of terrorism in Pervomaisk and in Budyonnovsk there were many reproaches to address of the Russian secret services that nothing is done for search and punishment of terrorists. According to Safonov, now actually all participants of those spot-checks are established. The special representative of the Russian President said that as far he is informed, investigation including the part with participation of international partners, passes productively. He said that the work of secret services on detection of the persons involved in murder of Russians was proceeding. « We shall always pursue them everywhere and we’ll do everything that punishment was inevitable», - the official has emphasized. Safonov added that in this question the Russian secret services cooperate with many countries of the Islamic world and also with the countries participating in the coalition forces in Iraq. Bodies of the killed Russian embassy employees are not found in Iraq till now. The attack on the Russians in Baghdad took place on June 3.
