According to Logua, «in the villages of Chhalta and Azhara there were murdered 56 to 58 peaceful inhabitants». Abkhazeti. ru online paper has referred to a source in the Georgian counterintelligence who wished to remain anonymous, quoting him that the statement of the separatists has a definite purpose -- to achieve monitoring of Kodori gorge. The separatists would invent any fairy-tales to achieve this particular aim, the source has emphasized. «There will be no monitoring of the gorge, despite a pretext the separatists would invent, as we understand that such a that monitoring will turn to gathering of intelligence that we cannot allow, as the separatist leaders had repeatedly declared, that were going to attack the gorge,» - the source has said. The Georgian counterintelligence representative has told Abkhazeti.ru that «our western partners do know how the operation in Kodori has passed and its real results, so we have enough of it.» | |
