This body is functioning in Azerbaijan, making a claim for presenting all the Muslim population of the Southern Caucasus. The abovementioned announcement contains a protest against "the diffusion in Europe of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad". The document also notes that "the Caucasian Muslims, being an integral part of the Islamic world, cannot come in terms with the offense of their sacred religious feelings". Besides the official apology, Administration of the Caucasian Muslims demands that the European States punish those "guilty of the caricatures' publication". | |
