"We are co-operating very actively at this stage," - he said, Gazeta KZ reported. However the Head of the KNB Antiterrorist Centre refused to quote any examples of joint operations. "I cannot speak about it in detail, but the Afghan side treats such propositions seriously," - he observed. Earlier at a meeting of heads of secret services of the Central Asian Co-operation member states in November 2005, the National Security Agency of Afghanistan said it was prepared to provide information on drug rings based out of the territory of Afghanistan to the Central Asian Co-operation member states. According to Kazakhstani services, such information exchange suggests that the operations against the drug traffic will be commencing on the territory of Afghanistan, not in CIS countries as before.
