| 18.11.200911:28 (GMT) | Today the session of presidium of the Russian Federation of Volleyball took place in Moscow on reorganization of its administrative board according to the corresponding assignment of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, online paper NEWSru reports.
The Secretary of Security Council of the Russian Federation, the former Federal Security Service (FSB) head General Nikolai Patrushev submitted to the council his resignation from the post of the federation’s president, having explained the decision with big congestion on work in the basic post. According to the official, currently he cannot carry out management of activity of the federation properly. The resignation has been accepted, online paper notes.
AIA already reported that President Medvedev of Russia on October 23 demanded all state officials who have been on supervising posts in sports federations, in a month to vacate their offices in favour of professionals. He suggested them to head supervisory and trusteeship boards.
According to the official site of the Russian Federation of Volleyball, the first vice-president of the federation, Stanislav Shevchenko, will act as the president of federation till the next conference. At the same session it was decided to create the Supervisory Council of public organization Russia Federation of Volleyball, and General Patrushev was unanimously chosen to be its chairman.
