| 08.11.200908:32 (GMT) | The classified documents of the Russian Black Sea fleet were found by residents of the Ukrainian city of Sevastopol in one of the city’s pubs, Russian online paper Lenta.ru reports, referring to Kiev newspaper Kommersant-Ukrayina.
AIA already reported on the incident, and now additional details have appeared. Among the found documents in total amount of about 180 pages there was also the Instruction on Organization of Coastal System of Surveillance and the Guidelines on Preparation of Vessels and Ships of the Navy for Campaigns, Transfers, Combat Training, Management of Vessels During Performance of Tasks in the Sea.
These documents were, roughly speaking, found in a pub and were transferred to the Security Service [of Ukraine, SBU], according to the newspaper’s source. It is not revealed how the classified documents appeared in the city pub.
On November 5, the SBU transferred all the found materials to an official of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The SBU have noted that the incident is a vivid example of quality of work of the FSB employees attached to the Russian Black Sea fleet.
