| 14.08.200814:20 (GMT) | According to the initiative of the Ministry of State Security of Transdnestria Moldavian Republic an action has been continued on gratuitous delivery of blood for victims of the recent military clashes in Georgia and South Ossetia, news agency Regnum reports. The humanitarian campaign on delivery of blood has been organzied in the whole unrecognized republic, the First republican TV channel says.
According to the chief of the ministry’s medical department, Alexander Dontsu, "applications of militaries and employees of the state security agencies with the request to organize delivery of blood for victims in South Ossetia began to act in the evening on August 8, and on Monday, August 11, the departmental polyclinic begun reception of donors-volunteers". Now 140 person has veen examined and directed to the Center of blood transfusion of the city of Tiraspol by the medical department. It is realated only to Tiraspol. Also military men and the attached units have been handing over blood in periphery, in Bendery and Rybinica, according to Dontsu.
Deputy Minister of state security of Transdnestria Moldavian Republic, Valery Gebos, noted that "delivery of blood is now really an actual step in support of the sister republic". "Except for the initiative on delivery of blood the State Security Ministry has decided to render material aid. Now there is a fund raising campaign going on, and the assistance will be directed to employees, military personnel of the State Security Committee of South Ossetia, as well as their families", - Gebos said.
