| 09.08.200817:27 (GMT) | The Georgian military units have liquidated 60 spetsnaz servicemen of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU), news agency Novosti-Gruziya reports, referring to a statement by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.
The president mentioned this episode speaking to the opposition representatives in Tbilisi today.
Saakashvili reportedly said the fight between Gergian units and Russian GRU spetsnaz was taking place on the Tiakani height in the Tskhinvali administrative area.
